from "REYNOLDS"—part one of CLAIMS OF UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES

Dear A,

The ambulating frequencies gestated, and I was as a woods spotlighted by fierce women under the august snickering of George Bush. We were required to strip. Our mothers entered at this point, and almost all the smoke from the cautionary tale abated. The mothers had skewers instead of heads, and each one of them raised themselves from the soil. George began running toward a water source. I followed his movement by boat, a bit distant from shore. It looked as if he was a secondary figure in a novel, in which the protagonist dies in the first sentence. He doesn't know how to move the story forward. Whether to hide in the water. To kill the women. To call for help. He doesn't know what to do.
