Discovery of a Young Woman
The morning's dull departure, in the doorwayBy the hinge, a woman coolly peered in
I noticed then: a strand of her hair was grey
And could no longer resolve that I was going.
Silently I stroked her breasts, she askedWhy I, a bedtime guest, did not take leave
After a good night's rest as was expected,
I looked at her quite bluntly and replied:
It's only another night I wish to stay
And be a burden to you; it was tactless
To stand as you did in the doorway by the hinge.
And we let the conversation wheel away
For we quite forgot that time was quickly passing.
And soon enough, desire left me speechless.
